Zorin again

Tuesday 7th January 2020
When my last laptop crashed, I didn't destroy it. It had a good fast processor in it and 4gb RAM which at the time was above standard. I merely bought another bigger, better hard drive and installed ZorinOS onto it.

Every Tuesday I assist Valley React teaching old timers how to get the best out of their iPads. There is another person there, a Dr Who fan, a nerdy person, but pleasant and friendly, she teaches all about laptops and computing in general. Today she was going on about the fact that as from the 14th Jan, Windows 7 will not have any updates or support from Windows and spoke about alternative operating systems. I mentioned Zorin, so tonight I thought it would be a good idea to install it on my laptop. Hmmm, found out you have to pay €39 for it now. It used to be free. I won't be installing it until I really need it. Not that I'm tight or anything, I don't really need it so I can find something better to spend €39 on.

Tried to cash a cheque at the Post Office using my chip & pin card seeing that RBS have closed all their branches within half a country's distance from our village, the bastards. No can do! I need a paying in book. We may be in the year 2020 but backward Britain isn't there yet. The land of paper and petty regulation.
Tonight's meal was a cop out, spare ribs and poor man's Anna potatoes.
Tonight's music presently is silence, I need to concentrate on a complicated plot in the book.
Tonight's picture is a slightly adjusted image of the hill from the kitchen window. It is 1000 feet above sea level up there, so technically using the Hugh Grant, Richard Griffiths and Tara Fitzgerald model, it is in fact a mountain.
